St. Patrick's is 30 years old this year, having been opened in 1966. It is a co-educational school, with more than 900 students, and a teaching staff of 58.

Shannon is Ireland's newest town. It has a population of 8,500 people. It is situated in Co. Clare, about 14 miles from Ennis in the direction of Limerick.
