With Benwisken and the Dartry mountain range to
one side and The Atlantic to the other, this really is a wonderful part of the
country to visit. Whatever you're doing - surfing, hillwalking, fishing, or simply looking around - you're in the right place. ![]() The cottage was originally a traditional 3-roomed farmhouse, now modernised & extended. It's located in a small cluster of older homes in the North Sligo countryside, private and peaceful, with its own character. Somewhere relaxing to 'come home' to. It's basic here... There's no tv, and no internet access. But it's not that basic... Central heating, washing machine, decent electric shower. There's a couple of bikes here for use. And the birds sing all day. If it's not already here, and you need it, bring it.
The Accommodation Bed 1 - Double Bed 2 - Single Both facing south to the mountain Bed 3 - Twin/Double (they zip together) Facing north to the sea Bed 4 is where you might find The Caretaker if he's in. ![]() You can feel at home for the duration of your stay. Come and go as you please. The house is in an ideal location for having a look around the area, if you are bringing a car. Situated equally between Bundoran, Sligo and Manorhamilton, there are lots of possibilities. |

If you wish to stay around the house, you're welcome. There's no real need to do anything else once you get here. Stay in the room. Sleep all day. Stay out. Cook a big meal. Cook a small meal. Eat nothing. Stand in the garden. Collect twigs for the fire. Walk. Surf. Swim. Cycle. Get your mandolin out. Relax. Note that things here don't have labels, instructions & notices on them. There are no rules. If you can't see something in the kitchen, you'll have to look in the cupboards. Just treat the place itself 'as if it were your own'. And make your own breakfast... ![]() Kitchen Moderately Equipped. Sunny when there's Sun. The Living Room There's an open fireplace. If there's no fire, you're welcome to start one. There's usually firestuff at hand. There's a library (bookshelf) for when you need a book. ![]() The Caretaker Probably here to meet you when you arrive. Can hopefully solve any common problems. His rudimentary local knowledge can be handy. Takes questions. Doesn't ask many. He'll be keeping out of your way as much as possible. Rates 24 Euro per day per person 36 Euro per day for a double room (for 1 or 2) For longer stays, every seventh day is free All ages welcome. All couples welcome. Groups welcome. If you wish to stay...
